What areas can I use the 3000XP in? we are an upstream operator with platforms offshore North sea and want to measure cable runs in a Zone 1 IIB T4 hazardous area.

    Is this possible?

    Thanks- Lee

    Lee,

Many thanks for your enquiry. You certainly can use the LaserMETER 3000XP in a Zone1 IIB T4 area. The LaserMETER 3000XP is designed to be used in Zone1 IIC T4 (vapour) atmospheres, which also cover IIA and IIB areas.

If you have any further questions please don’t hesitate to ask.

  • Hi,

I work for a drilling company, and I am looking to purchase a 3000XP for control measuring lengths of shaft on our offshore platform. Can it be used in these environments.

  • Paul,

Thanks for your enquiry. The LaserMETER 3000XP certainly sounds like the perfect tool for this job, however could I please ask if it's a hazardous area that you work in and if so what is the classification?
